Leo and Jack's

Tasked with renovating and extending a prominent mid-terrace Victorian home, the studios focus centred around ordering the disjointed upper and lower ground floors, creating a new family focussed series of spaces that provided seamless connection the garden with spaces for the family to enjoy together.

Through a comprehensive refurbishment of the 19th-century townhouse, the lower ground floor was transformed into the primary living space, with a new garden-facing kitchen and dining area. A large skylight and custom French doors provide natural light and ease of movement to the garden. The open-plan kitchen and dining room combines the historical charm of the original building with contemporary design, and serves as a functional and inviting heart of the home. By removing internal walls and creating an open plan space, light is allowed to enter from both directions, creating an ideal setting for entertaining.

A bespoke timber stair was carved through a newly created double height space connecting the upper and lower ground floors. Two stacked window openings were connected to create an impressive 4m tall sash window overlooking the garden.

The upper ground floor design retained and restored original Victorian features to create a warm open-plan lounge area that blends historical charm with contemporary comfort.

On the first floor, the master suite takes precedence with full height built-in wardrobes and a garden-view ensuite with a marble-clad bath, double walk-in shower, and a bespoke floating vanity console.

In this contemporary home, every room has a unique story to tell. Expert craftsmanship combines with tasteful material choices such as exposed timber, veined marble, and delicate metalwork to create a timeless and elegant ambiance. Modern finishes and a thoughtfully selected colour scheme bring sophistication and charm to a home that prioritizes both comfort and style.
